I’m excited this week because we’re brainstorming passive income ideas for Etsy sellers and by we, I mean me and Emily who runs the Etsy shop BrightenUpUK.
Passive income isn’t something that many Etsy sellers factor into their business plan as a possible income stream but it absolutely can be. Some sellers are already hip to this concept and reaping the benefits of creating a product or product line that requires a significant investment of time and labour up front but then pays off in dividends down the road.
Today I get to really go in-depth into what the process of figuring out such a product line can look like for an Etsy seller and I’m glad Emily was up for it and agreed to indulge me 🙂
Emily has been running her Etsy shop since 2014. She makes and sells quirky and unique lampshades and other home decor items. In addition to discussing how and why she landed on Etsy, we also talk about:
- Knowing when your products are good enough to charge money for them
- Unique ideas that have worked for Emily for improving her Etsy shop
- Cross-generational selling on Etsy
- Emily’s mum also sells on Etsy (her shop is Satz Designs) so they get to not only compare notes but also help and support each uniquely
- Time management and learning to prioritize tasks
- Tips for finding and connecting with local Etsy sellers
- Creative ways to use all 10 product photo slots in your Etsy listings
- Dealing with slow times in your shop and how to use those times
- And lots more…
