Welcome to the Etsy Conversations Podcast. My name is Ijeoma, my craft is calligraphy and budding typography artist and I host the podcast!
Thank you for coming over to learn more about me and the podcast.
A Little Bit About Me
As an Etsy seller (and online seller), I know what it feels like to open up your shop to the wide world of buyers just itching to get their hands on your products… And then wait, and wait, and wait…for that first sale. Then it finally comes…and then the waiting begins again for that next sale…
It’s tough and it can be very discouraging, especially if you THINK you’ve done everything right. This podcast is for new and not-so-new (but perhaps struggling) Etsy sellers, to help you:
- Get better at selling on Etsy, increase traffic to your Etsy shop and get more sales by promoting your Etsy shop on the podcast and blog
- Learn from other Etsy sellers by providing you with real-life tips and techniques from current Etsy sellers that will help you get your first sale OR your next sale on Etsy
It wasn’t that long ago I started selling online myself. I thought my products were great and I just knew that there was a market for them. But when I put them out there no one came running to buy them as quickly as I had expected. Then I made a discovery…
I discovered that the best way for me to learn is to ask people who have already arrived at the destination I am aiming for.
I’m not sure if it was Mr. Miyagi that said “when the student is ready the teacher will appear”, but regardless, I discovered that once I opened myself up to learn from others, things began to change for the better…
I’m passionate about helping Etsy sellers succeed. The first step is pretty simple – subscribe to the podcast and be a fly on the wall as I talk to and learn from other Etsy sellers.
So What’s The Podcast All About?
Have you ever wanted to just sit down over a cup of tea or coffee and have a conversation with someone else who sells on Etsy? Perhaps to ask them some questions about selling on Etsy or just to trade stories and share experiences you’ve had on Etsy?
Do you sometimes want to talk to someone who just gets it…?
Well, that’s pretty much what I do… For you…
And How Do I Do That?
You’ll find that this site is very different from other Etsy-related sites out there.
I don’t provide you with business-building tips like you’ll see elsewhere. I don’t offer crafting tutorials. I don’t teach the how-to’s for selling on Etsy… There are lots of sites doing a great job of this already.
Oh my goodness… So what’s the good news…?
I interview other Etsy sellers (just like you) on the podcast who will provide you with hands-on information from their own personal experiences. These are normal, everyday Etsy shop owners who offer up highly relevant and helpful real-life tips and techniques that they are actively currently using themselves in their own Etsy shops.
The Etsy Conversations Podcast community is a giving community which operates on the premise that no matter where we are in our Etsy journey we can all provide some value and help each other to become better Etsy sellers.
And what do my guests get out of being on the podcast?
Well, in addition to the good vibes that come from simply helping other people, this short intro video gives more details about what’s in it for them (…or for you, if you’d like to be my guest as well)
The podcast is a great way to connect fellow Etsy Shop owners with each other. By hearing each others’ stories we can learn more about how others arrived on Etsy, got to where they are and how they manage and run their Etsy businesses.
This podcast and website are not affiliated with Etsy.com. I have an Etsy Shop, but my relationship with Etsy does not extend beyond that.
Sounds intriguing… What if I’d like to be your guest too!
That’s great…join our community! If you’re an Etsy Shop owner and would like to be on my podcast please visit the Be My Guest page. You’ll find more detailed info there about the process (it’s pretty simple really).
I record our conversations over Skype (audio only, so no formal attire required…yay!)
Here is the list of Etsy Convo Podcast Questions. I use the list mostly as a guide and don’t always ask every question it.
Thanks for listening to my podcast and I hope you enjoy getting to know these inspiring Etsy Shop owners as much as I do!
Best,
Ijeoma
