This week’s podcast guest is Heather Davis and she is the artist behind the Etsy shop Vadis Artist. She graduated from art school in 2011 and really hit the ground running even though it hasn’t been all smooth sailing.
Heather shared the ups and downs she has encountered as part of her journey into building an art-based business, from providing illustrations for a children’s book to creating custom art for phone covers, Heather has had a lot of useful experiences which she openly shares about today.
Her current project is very exciting. She’s running a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to help bring her unique hand-painted art on wood to the market. I think this is a very unique (sorry for the repetition 🙂 ) way for Etsy sellers to raise funds for their business in order to produce their handicrafts and my conversation with Heather about this whole process was very educational and quite inspiring actually.
