006 – Karla Ely Glass

Karla describes herself as an “accidental glass artist” and that’s because over 20 years ago a good friend of hers asked her to “stand in” for her at a beginning fusing class.

Well, she did, and one thing led to another, as it always does, and today Karla is a glass artist!

Karla’s Etsy shop is Karla Ely Glass and this week she shares with me all about her journey into the world of fused glass.

She has a particular passion for Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) imagery as well making custom and very unique pet memorials. You’ll get to hear all about it in our conversation.
